I'm a science journalist and editor with more than a decade of experience in science, technology, and healthcare journalism for web and print. My editorial skills and experience include reporting, writing, editing, and magazine planning and production. I have covered disciplines spanning the sciences, from astronomy to zoology.
Currently I am the deputy managing editor for Pharmacy Practice News and Specialty Pharmacy Continuum, which cover clinical, operational, and policy topics relevant to health-system and specialty pharmacists. Previously I wrote for popsci.com, NBC News MACH, and elsewhere as a freelance science journalist.
I have an MA in Science, Health, and Environmental Reporting from New York University. Before coming to New York City, I earned a BA in Biology from Vassar College and spent a lot of time wrangling songbirds, waterfowl, small owls, and the occasional seabird. In my free time, I enjoy drawing plants, animals, and fungi I encounter on my nature walks.
